Because it’s not too late to give a little sweetness this season. 11⁄4 cups cacao powder1 cup liquid sweetener of choice (each will impact flavor and sweetness)1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 teaspoon hazelnut extract1⁄2 teaspoon salt1 cup cacao butter, liquefied1⁄2 cup coconut oil1⁄2 cup hazelnuts, chopped (reserve 1⁄4 cup forgarnish)1⁄4 cup coconut sugar, powdered in a spicegrinderBlend the first five ingredients in a high-powered blender until smooth. Slowly add the cacao butter and coconut oil. Continue to blend until completely incorporated.Stir in chopped hazelnuts and coconut sugar. Pour into a bowl and place in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes until mixture becomes firm enough to scoop and mold. Using a small ice cream scoop, form mixture into small balls,about 2 tablespoons each.
